I wish my school had a class or club focused on video game development led by an experienced instructor. In particular, it would have been nice to learn Unity or Unreal in high school. Or even an online, but regular course with regular interaction would be nice rather than modules. I did a module course but it wasn't that enjoyable.

I came from a very poor community, so our resources were scarce. Any classes on regarding game design/development or anything coding related were nonexistent. I was always someone who was very interested in gaming as a career, but was forced to give up on it growing up because it was deemed impossible as I believed there was no jobs in the industry for me or I could never have qualify for those types of positions. I really wish I had people like you who were there for people like me who really needed a proper path or mentor in life to tell me that it was possible.

Courses or clubs at my school for game design would have been fantastic, or at least more acknowledgment of the video games industry as a possible career. At that point in time, I was struggling to figure out how I could turn my skills in art into a job, and the options I thought were available were pretty much just gallery work or freelance.
